L. Ha\u00adrutyunyan received her Bachelor\u2019s and Master\u2019s Degrees from the Department of Musicology of the Komitas State Con\u00acservatory. In 2018, she defended her PhD thesis on the <em>Eight-Mode System in the Mekhitarist Chant of Armenian Sacred Music<\/em> at the Institute of Arts of the National Acad\u00acemy of Sciences of RA. In 2019, she carried a DAAD research program in Saxon Archives in Leipzig (Germany). In 2019, she was elected as member of the Standing Committee in IFLA. L. Harutyunyan\u2019s re-search focuses on the study of Armenian folk and spiritual music.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">THE ARCHIVE OF BREITKOPF &amp; H\u00c4RTEL PUBLISHING HOUSE:<br \/>\nDOCUMENTS FOR KOMITAS-RESEARCH<\/p>\n<p>The Saxon State Archives, which are situated in State Archives Leipzig, contain a large scale archive of the music publisher Breitkopf &amp; H\u00e4rtel. This includes documents of the International Music Society, as Breitkopf &amp; H\u00e4rtel temporarily took over the management of the IMS. Letter copy books of 1818-1910, incoming and outgoing letters starting from 1896 and sheet music from the production process are extensively available. Unfortunately, only few traces of the earlier contacts between Komitas Vardapet and the publisher Breitkopf &amp; H\u00e4rtel have been preserved. Nevertheless, the publisher\u2019s archive material allows drawing some conclusions.
