The \u201cHover\u201d Chamber Choir is open to all manifestations of the chamber choral genre. The Choir has recorded seven CDs. \u201cHover\u201d took part in recording soundtracks for the \u201cArarat\u201d (directed by A. Egoyan), \u201cLa masseria delle allodole\u201d (\u201cThe Lark Farm\u201d, directed by the Taviani brothers), \u201cNamus\u201d (restored version of the ARTE studio) and \u201cthe Promise\u201d by Terry George.<\/p>\n
The \u201cHover\u201d Choir appeared with concerts in Italy, France, Great Britain, Germany, Austria, Russia, Poland, Taiwan, Belgium and USA. It has taken part in a number of competitions and festivals. It has had performances in such prestigious concert halls as the Teatro Dal Verme, Cite de la Musique, Le Quartz, \u0422h\u00e9\u00e2tre Nanterre-Amandiers, Strathmore Hall, Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, at MIDEM, Beiteddine Art Festival, the International Music Festival of Sion Valais, Emilia-Romagna Festival, S\u00fcdtirol Festival; several times Hover choir or Hover septet participated in the Easter Festival of Valery Gergiev, \u201cProsvetitel\u201d festival as well as participated in prestigious ceremonies: such as the Aurora Prize in 2016 and 2017, Days of Yerevan in Saint Petersburg in 2017, 25th anniversary of membership of Armenia in UNO held in New York in 2017.<\/p>\n
Performances of compositions by S. Gubaidulina, R. Shchedrin, K. Penderecki, G. Kancheli, as well as number of other prominent contemporary composers by \u201cHover\u201d gained great appreciation. The \u201cHover\u201d Chamber Choir has appeared with a numerous prominent musicians, such as G. Kremer, A. Mustonen, R. Shervenikas, D. Geringas and J. Nelson.<\/p>\n
Starting from 2011 \u201cHover\u201d continues its activity as a member of the National Center of Chamber Music. On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of its professional activity, \u201cHover\u201d Chamber Choir was awarded a Gold Medal of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Armenia.<\/p>\n
Starting from 2013 the general partner of \u201cHover\u201d State Chamber Choir is VivaCell-MTS. The Choir was founded and ever since has been conducted by Professor of the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory, Honored Worker of Culture Sona Hovhannisyan.<\/p>\n
