Works by European, Russian and Armenian composers.

The “Hover” Chamber Choir is open to all manifestations of the chamber choral genre. The Choir has recorded seven CDs. “Hover” took part in recording soundtracks for the “Ararat” (directed by A. Egoyan), “La masseria delle allodole” (“The Lark Farm”, directed by the Taviani brothers), “Namus” (restored version of the ARTE studio) and “the Promise” by Terry George.

The “Hover” Choir appeared with concerts in Italy, France, Great Britain, Germany, Austria, Russia, Poland, Taiwan, Belgium and USA. It has taken part in a number of competitions and festivals. It has had performances in such prestigious concert halls as the Teatro Dal Verme, Cite de la Musique, Le Quartz, Тhéâtre Nanterre-Amandiers, Strathmore Hall, Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, at MIDEM, Beiteddine Art Festival, the International Music Festival of Sion Valais, Emilia-Romagna Festival, Südtirol Festival; several times Hover choir or Hover septet participated in the Easter Festival of Valery Gergiev, “Prosvetitel” festival as well as participated in prestigious ceremonies: such as the Aurora Prize in 2016 and 2017, Days of Yerevan in Saint Petersburg in 2017, 25th anniversary of membership of Armenia in UNO held in New York in 2017.

Performances of compositions by S. Gubaidulina, R. Shchedrin, K. Penderecki, G. Kancheli, as well as number of other prominent contemporary composers by “Hover” gained great appreciation. The “Hover” Chamber Choir has appeared with a numerous prominent musicians, such as G. Kremer, A. Mustonen, R. Shervenikas, D. Geringas and J. Nelson.

Starting from 2011 “Hover” continues its activity as a member of the National Center of Chamber Music. On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of its professional activity, “Hover” Chamber Choir was awarded a Gold Medal of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Armenia.

Starting from 2013 the general partner of “Hover” State Chamber Choir is VivaCell-MTS. The Choir was founded and ever since has been conducted by Professor of the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory, Honored Worker of Culture Sona Hovhannisyan.

On September 25 , 2017 Hover celebrated its 25th Anniversary.
