Komitas International Conference-Festival takes place from 26 September to 8 October as corresponding to Komitas’ birthday according to the New and Old Calendars. The conference hosts scholars from all over the world to present papers, discuss, propose questions, to share their explorations with each other. The moto embraces topics on various spheres of Komitas’ life and activity, as well as on various branches related to Komitas’ work and research, such as medieval studies, folk music, art music etc.
The festival presents concerts with Komitas’ music and other music related to Komitas: music of Komitas’ time period, medieval and folk music of different nations.
