Masayuki Fujii

Noh Theater performer. Masayuki Fujii of the Noh theatre is a leading actor (Shite-kata) of the Hosho School, and a bearer of important intangible cultural heritage. He was born in 1954, and graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts, Faculty of Music. He studied under Fusao Hosho, the 18th Generation Head of Hosho School. He has successfully planned and produced performances in Japan and throughout the world, himself being the leading actor. He organizes his Noh Association Fuji Miyabi-kai all over Japan. He visits the US four times a year to deliver lectures and promote the art of Noh.
