Komitas’s works have been inscribed in UNESCO’s Memory of the World International Register

At a press conference held at the museum, it was announced that the collection of Komitas Vardapet’s works has been unanimously included in UNESCO’s Memory of the World International Register by the decision of its Executive Board.
The press conference was attended by Zhanna Andreasyan, Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports of the Republic of Armenia; Vahan Kostanyan, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia; Nikolay Kostandyan, Director of the Komitas Museum-Institute; Tatevik Shakhkulyan, Head of the Scientific Department; Marine Haroyan, museologist and author of the VR project “Komitas’ Study”; and Artak Ananyan, Chairman of the Board of Ardshinbank CJSC.
“The inclusion of Komitas’ works in UNESCO’s International Register is a great responsibility. This achievement was made possible thanks to the extensive work and collaboration between the museum, the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs over 7–8 years,” stated Nikolay Kostandyan, Director of the Komitas Museum-Institute.
