Temporary Exhibition, dedicated to the 150th Anniversary of Komitas Vardapet.

Komitas Museum-Institut In collaboration with Yeghishe Charents Museum of Literature and Art invites you on the Opening Ceremony of “The Teacher” Temporary Exhibition. It is about Komitas as a Teacher, and his students.
In thematic sections named: “Gevorgian Theological Seminary – first steps”, “Famous Students: Vahan Ter-Arakelyan, Spiridon Melikyan”, “Five Students of Komitas”, “Traditions of Komitas: Margarit Babayan”, around 200 documents, photos, personal items are presented, most of them – for the first time. These materials come from the Museum of Literature and Art and from the National Archives of Armenia.
In “Komitas and the Children” Secton, the memories of Komitas’s students about their great Teacher will be presented through multimedia.
